Thomas Laubscher was born in 1966 in Hilden near Düsseldorf. When he was 11 years old, he had his first contact with a camera.
It was a so called “Ritsch-Ratsch-Klick” Agfa-Pocket camera. From this moment on, he started taking photos.

Actually his father wanted him to study mechanical engineering,
but Thomas very quickly realized that this was really not his thing. Therefore, he started to do an apprenticeship with an advertising photographer when he was 19 years old. After having finished his apprenticeship of three years, he worked as an assistant with
several advertising and industrial photographers.

In 1992, he went independent in his hometown Solingen. After three years in master school he received his master’s certificate as a master photographer. Since 1992 he works as an advertising photographer for national and international companies.
